Ed Meyer

I've lived and worked in America's rural towns for my entire life.  Now that I'm retired, I've decided to write about the rural culture I love and share what I've learned with anyone interested in listening.  

Background

• Directed Utah's rural economic development programs for five governors over 25 years
• Bachelor degree in social and cultural anthropology from the University of Utah
• Masters Degree in Public Administration from Brigham Young University
• Fellowship from Harvard's JFK School of Management
• Directed rural technology initiative recognized my President GW Bush for innovation
• Co-founded and directed Utah's first heritage tourism program, the Utah Heritage Highway
• Co-founded and chaired community non-profit Center for Education, Business and the Arts
• Kanab, Utah City Council member
• Board member for local arts council, planning commission and heritage council
• Marketing director and board member for non-profit, Zane Grey's West Society
• Authored many magazine articles.  Published one historic fiction novel with a new murder mystery in the works
• Married to Kathy Howard Meyer.  
• Three children, three grandchildren and a great-grandchild on the way.
